It clearly shows that we can be either faithful to Him or we are branded unfaithful.
Will share other bits in another post, but as of now just one thought:
What is/are your thought(s) on being zealous for the Lord? What are the preconditions?
An example is Jehu, an elect of Israel, who at the height of his campaigns - purging the nation of Ahab's seed & relations, made a statement, "come, and see my zeal for the Lord".
He surely fulfilled what He was called out, but later fell into the same traps.
So, (i maybe wrong) zeal isn't a right measure. It might be temporal, or a mere show.
Simply put,
- Zeal complementing the "the true heart" is what is needed, and is honorable before God.
- Zeal supplementing the "the true heart" is fake and is only honorable before men.
Let me put it this way,
- Grass burns fast, but burns out soon and the energy given out (CV) is less,
- But a log, starts slowly, burns for long, gives out a lot of energy (CV), and is profitable.
